Yesterday was another hot day, but a special day. It was Caylen's birthday! Yay! She turned two years old. We ended up not having her birthday party, postponing it for a cooler day. Between the heat and her cutting the bottom two back molars, she was miserable. She didn't sleep at all Friday night, which meant I didn't, either! :P
I decorated Caylen's rocking chair with metallic, wired star ribbon and tied balloons on it. She was thrilled when she saw it! I had put a plastic basket with beach and sand toys in it next to it as a happy. She has lots and lots of presents coming, but I was saving them for her party. David and I got her a bike trailer so she can go biking with him. She loved it!
We finished up Kindermusik camp on Friday night. I can't wait for her to start the weekly class in August! We had so much fun this week playing, singing, making music and crafts. I love having that time with her. I took cupcakes with us to share with the class. Caylen sat in the middle of the table while the other little ones and their moms sang "Happy Birthday" to her and ate cake. It was a sight to see! LOL
Two years. Two long, hard, happy, joyful, blessed years! I look at Caylen and I know how very blessed we are to have her. God is AWESOME and He has done amazing things through Caylen. I can't wait to see what the future brings, good or bad. I pray that He blesses her with a long, healthy life; but, in the end, I know it's His will and He holds Caylen in His arms, just as He does each of us. I know He will help us through each day, each valley and we just have to live each day we have with Caylen to the fullest. Something we should all do, even if your child is perfectly healthy. Don't take anything for granted and remember, the laundry and dishes will wait. Your little one shouldn't have to...
